Sep 25, 2006: Two huge shows this week!
We have two huge shows going on this week - two "first's", if you will, for dtt!

This Wednesday we have the honor of opening up for Powerman 5000 at JAXX in Springfield, VA (one of the places we consider a home away from home we've played so many shows there). This is a huge opportunity for us and we hope our fans will be able to join us for this fantastic show. I know it's a school night, kids, but this will be quite the memorable evening so we hope you can join us.

Then on Friday we're going to be opening for Badfish in Baltimore at Ram's Head Live! This is a remarkable venue and an incredible opportunity for us and for our Baltimore fans to see us. Those of you from DC interesting in coming along for the ride let us know as we'll have several cars of people treking up to Baltimore to support us for this show!

Sep 05, 2006: New Web Site Goes Live!
So you all may notice things are looking a little spiffy around here... version 3 of the down to this website has been launched tonight, and although there are still some pieces to flush out (media, music, photos, merch), there's still quite a bit of content up here. Feel free to poke around and see what you think. We also have a new forum that is live (click on ''board'' above) and we're all going to be participating on - so definitely take some time to create an account and post up some of your thoughts. We'd love to hear some of your feedback and start to interact with everyone some more! We'll be adding more content every week as it's developed so keep checking back to see what's changed!

September is also shaping up to be a great month for gigs for us as we're getting out to some new areas. Can't wait to see you at the shows!

Aug 25, 2006: So much news, so little space ...
DTT headlines at TT Reynolds tonight in Fairfax, VA. We'll be unveiling some new tunes tonight and checking out some old and new friends who go on beforehand ... Rome in a Day, Not Alone (from Philadelphia) and We Are Action (Tallahassee, Florida). This is a big show, so we hope to see you all out there! We follow up to celebrate my birthday tomorrow night by headlining at Firestation 8 Bar & Cue in Gaithersburg. Other bands performing on the bill are: Rupa, Headstraight, The Glorified, 7 Days Torn and We Are Action. Of course, not to be overshadowed are our recent addition to the Badfish show at Rams Head Live! in Baltimore on September 29 and our selection to showcase at the 5th Annual Mid-Atlantic Music Conference in Charlotte, NC from November 3 through November 5. Stay tuned for more news!

Aug 02, 2006: secret surprise
There has a been a dearth of updates but only because we've been sooo busy. But I will convey two things that you will see in the near future...a completely new look for the website and some new songs at the TT Reynolds show ;-).

May 28, 2006: Shows Cancelled
We have some unfortunate news - it looks like our shows on June 3rd (@ Zepplin's in Martinsburg, WV), June 17th (@ The Space in Springfield, VA) and June 23rd (@ TT Reynold's in Fairfax, VA) have all been cancelled for a variety of reasons.

So while you may not be seeing us performing very much in June, you'll be seeing us out and about at shows in the NoVa, DC, and Baltimore areas! Also we've confirmed a show at JAXX on July 14th which will be our next live performance, and we're booking more shows from that point forward.

Thanks to everyone who continues to help us by voting on MTV2! We can't stress enough how much we appreciate your support!

May 12, 2006: Down To This on MTV2!!!!!
To all the DTT fans out there, we need your help more than ever! MTV2 is sponsoring this cool site called On The Rise. It’s a place for unknown artists and bands (like DTT) to get known. This is where we could really use your help.

Visit the personal Profile page for DTT and vote for DTT. In fact, vote for DTT as much as you want there’s no limit! The more you vote, the better our chances of rising to the top! The band’s unique On The Rise URL is: http://mtv2ontherise.com?em=01284. So please do us a favor, go ahead vote as many times as you can handle it in one session! :-)

To visit MTV2’s On the Rise website specifically for the Northern Virginia region, click here: http://mtv2ontherise.com

THANKS!!!!!!!

Apr 12, 2006: Fletchers/post Jeff Reid Benefit
Huge show up in Baltimore of dtt at Fletchers. We are all psyched as it is a venue we have not played yet plus we love playing up in Baltimore. Just our kinda town me thinks. Yeah I know it is a Thursday but buck the hell up!! We need to have some dtt friends representing! And we'll have some new stickers to unveil (cue anticlimatic music, hah). I'm having fun but they do rock. And if you haven't bought a shirt the time is NOW!

Need to give a huge thanks to Natalie and everyone else who helped putting the Jeff Reid Tribute Benefit together. None of us had the opportunity to meet him in life but after seeing all his friends and family remembering him we are sorry not to have. Was a great show with some amazing bands and we met some great people.

Mar 15, 2006: Tons of happenings for dtt...
There's so much going on for us right now it's hard to keep track of everything! We'll be sending out a newsletter soon, but for right now everyone should take a look at our shows page as we've been adding a TON of live performances to our calendar. Spring is right around the corner and our focus is going to be getting out to perform for YOU, so we need all of the support we can get at all of our shows! Looking forward to a rocking summer in '06, hanging out with all of our friends & meeting some new fans! See you all soon! =)

Feb 06, 2006: Free Tickets Available for the Gala!
We’ve just been informed that our record label has decided to let us give some tickets out to the Gala for FREE. How cool is that? We want all of our closest friends and fans to be part of this, so if you are interested in joining us for the Gala this weekend please send us an e-mail! Tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis. Info on the Gala and details are on the concerts page or below under "Upcoming Shows".

If you can come, we suggest taking the metro since parking might be expensive. Recommended attire, from the record label, is “dress to impress”. This isn’t super formal (tux/gown), just use your best judgment. We're also told this is being filmed for TV...

Dec 30, 2005: Thanks to all our fans!!
As '05 draws to a close a great year for dtt we have to give a hearty thanks to all of our fans, friends, and loved ones for supporting us. All of you truly *rawk*!

Also need to give a special thanks to Carl & Co. at Versatile Records for all of their support and belief in us and our music. Two other peeps that deserve special mention are Scott Spelbring and Jeff Juliano who absolutely did a kick ass job on our new record and have helped us in a ton of other ways.

On to 2006 which will be a gigantic year for us. We have a TON of stuff that is going on and we are all excited. In the coming weeks there will a ton of new happenings that we'll be passing on to everyone.

We hope everyone is having some great holidays and to have a safe NYE. ~peace

Nov 06, 2005: Our FYE In-Store Promotions...
...were a great success! We want to personally thank everyone that we met last weekend at Arundel Mills, Georgetown Park & Potomac Mills and everyone we met this weekend at Tyson's Corner, Fair Oaks & Ballston! It was a lot of fun to meet some new people and make some new fans. We hope you'll keep in touch with us and join us at some of our upcoming shows. We'd also like to thank Versatile Records for putting these promotions together as well as all of the managers and employees from FYE who were incredibly supportive of our promotions.

Next on our list is to get all of our fans to start e-mailing and calling DC101 requesting "Funeral"! We want to create a big buzz for when the album drops early next year and if we can get DC101 on board that would be huge! Over the winter months our live shows will be scarce - probably once a month or so. But we'll be preparing and planning a lot more shows (and mini-tours) come spring. More soon...

Oct 04, 2005: Down time...
Ok, so no new shows being posted... no news updates recently... so what's going on already!? All right, here's a short update for everyone...

First off - the new CD is *almost* finished! Looks like we'll be releasing some of the singles before the entire CD is released, and hopefully those singles will get released soon. For those who have seen some of our recent live performances then you have an idea of what to expect...

And the reason for the gig slow down is because I decided to take a short vacation - to Japan! Those who know me know I've been attemping to learn the language and this trip is just a break from the day-to-day for me to recharge. You can read about some of my experiences here if you are interested: derek.lee's Blog

Then I think Gyom's going to take some time to go and see his family in Europe this November, so it'll probably be a little bit until you see us for another live show. Until then... we'll keep feeding updates on the release of our new singles and soon, the new CD!
